Madisyn Elise, a 20 year old singer, songwriter, producer, performer and student from the Soufside of Atlanta, GA (College Park), has been making waves in the city for years with her single “Blues Clues” featured on 2019 Canal Street soundtrack, she was on Hot 107.9’s Bullying’s Not Hot Tour, and her unreleased song “Do You? / HYDM” recently won Emory’s Got Talent during Student Programming Counsel’s October 2020 HOCOFEST. Sonically, she fuses old-school R&B, Hip-Hop, and orchestral instruments with dense vocal arrangements, gliding over them with jazzy runs and prowess. She draws inspiration from artists such as Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, Tyler The Creator, SZA and Lauryn Hill. Madisyn has grown galaxies beyond her first awarded release, “Crazy, Crazy,” and has since expanded into even deeper lyrical truths. She says that she aspires, "to impact the hearts of those who may not know how to articulate a certain emotion or situation, but know they need to simply resonate, grieve or get it out of their system somehow." By interweaving her life stories into her songs, she seeks to capture moments of healing, love and happiness through art so that those who listen can experience bits of catharsis as well.
