Derrick Offei Awuku, a Ghanaian of Akuapem descent, known by his stage name Offei, is a singer, rapper, guitarist, choreographer. He describes his style of music as an Afrofusion; which is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, Reggae, Highlife, Hiplife, Soul and Hip-Hop, with a touch of African sounds. He derives inspiration from artistes like Lauryn Hill (he is amazed by how she perfectly raps and sings), Bob Marley, Chris Brown, and the late Terry Bonchaka. Offei does music, basically to express his feelings and opinions about certain topics in life to a larger population. He dreams of his fans listening to his music 20 years from now, having them reminisce about the fun times enjoyed. He desires that his music be the source of amusement and motivation for the world at large. On top of it all, he dreams of winning a Grammy. He featured on Paq's Afrobeat Tape with the song Communication (feat. Offei)
