katie ellen is Anika Pyle, Dan Frelly, Lou Hanman & Anthony Tinnirella. Anika and Dan started katie ellen after their other band - Chumped - went on indefinite hiatus. Anika named katie ellen after her great grandmother's radio stage name as a way of reclaiming this part of herstory; her great grandmother was sued for trying to retain her alias for her career. katie ellen sings about softness, gender & sexuality, and other stuff. they've toured with Jeff Rosenstock, Chris Farren, Antarctigo Vespucci, Worriers, Hard Girls, Walter Etc, Cayetana, Thin Lips, Woahnows & more. Lauren Records released both their debut LP Cowgirl Blues and follow up EP Still Life
