    Son of Latin artists Charityn and Elin Ortíz, Puerto Rican pop singer, fashion model, and actor Shalim teamed up with producer Emilio Estefan to make his self-titled debut album, climbing on the charts for the first time with a song called "Como Tú." In May of 2001, Shalim was voted one of the 25 Most Beautiful Latin Celebrities by People magazine.
