After almost 20 years in the music scene, Halle-based DJ and producer Lars of Monkey Safari has started using his new alias Borneo to get back to his roots in late 90s hip hop and breakbeat. Driven by the idea of expressing his love for broken beats himself and forming a sound that is as unique and expressive as it is familiar, the idea for this new project was born in 2020. With plenty of unreleased material and remixes in the pipeline, you can expect some gems in the future.
