Биография
David Brown and James Taylor began making music in the mid-ninties and in those post-iron curtain times took much inspiration from the dark and cold eastern block. Before Googling and the facebook revolution, information was spread by word of mouth and paper and record stores, reputations built on musical prowess and friendships. Swayzak used the technology of the times; fax, pagers, photocopiers and answering machines to spread the word. One of the first artists to be released on Richie Hawtin‘s Minus label the duo released a plethora of albums and EP’s on !K7, Fabric 11 Pokerflat, Playhouse, Klang, Simple, Logistic, Force Trax, Mille Plateaux... all crossing the paths between minimalism, deep house, electro and pure pop. Their songs have featured on several commercials, TV shows, and hundreds of compilations. In 2011 James Taylor announced he was to leave the group, moving on to work on to work outside of the music industry. The move was entirely amicable by both with David moving forward at the helm of the Swayzak productions and Live shows. Soon followed were releases on Tresor, Curle, CONSTRUCT, Resopal, Save You, 17 Steps, 3rd Wave... collaborations and remixes for Maceo Plex, Dusky, John Grant.. A new label services deal with !K7 was announced this year that will see the relaunch of the 240 Volts label including brand new Swayzak single paving the way for 2018 with new original material on 240 Volts, 17 Steps, Rekids, Bella Union and more...<br>
