Born in the Netherlands with Indian Tamil roots, Maharani is a multilingual singer-songwriter making waves in the music industry with her unique blend of RnB, Trap-Soul and South Asian music. Timbaland, the legendary producer and artist, was impressed with Maharani's Tamil fusion RnB track 'Skyline' and exclaimed, "She changed the whole narrative of their sound.", describing her work as 'ground-breaking for her culture'. Maharani's style draws inspiration from a range of musical legends, including Jhené Aiko, Taylor Swift, Hayley Williams and the Weeknd, and reflects the diverse cultures that have shaped her. Collaborating with East London producer ItsyaboiKay, Maharani has gained widespread recognition for her EP 'AnBae'. The smooth multilingual blend of English, Tamil, Hindi and Dutch on the EP has captivated audiences worldwide and earned her features on BBC Asian Network, BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing London, and Radio Mirchi in India.
