Singer Songwriter Producer Compositor Videograf @YekbûnOfficial She was born in İstanbul in 1979 to a Kurdish family from Mardin which is a city on the Eastern part of Turkey where the majority of the population is Kurdish. Her family had to migrate to İstanbul during the 1960s because of the pressure which was shaped by the official ideology and the altercations caused by ethnic discrimination. While living in İstanbul which is a cosmopolitan city where different cultures and languages can coexist, she decided that music was the best way to express her life experiences and the inequality created by her difference. During her journey with music which started when she was 11, could feel very deeply that music does not exist through one language, that its sound could bring together and unify people from different regions, even continents. In the course of time, she witnessed that music is a language that can be spoken by all and all nations enrichened it by adding its own color and depth. During these discoveries. By passing the central university examination and the talent test with success, she entered one of the best universities in Turkey, Marmara University, the department of Music Teaching. she tried to expand her perspective by different musical perspectives. she let various sounds and multiculturalism lead her life and music.
