Oceanborn is a progressive metal band from Chicago, IL, USA. Oceanborn was formed by Christopher Lee, Dominick Camillo and Lance Ferrell. The bands sound incorporates a blend of alternative rock, progressive rock, classical, jazz & latin into their heavy metal compositions. Many songs include strong dynamic shifts in feeling and/or genre blending. The 2013 release, Hidden From The World, was predominantly recorded in Chicago at the band’s home studio. Drums were tracked by Chris King and engineered by Eyal Levi at Audiohammer Studios (Trivium, The Contortionist, Black Dahlia Murder, Daath, & more) in Sanford, FL. It was mixed by Eyal Levi, John Douglass & Jason Suecof at Audiohammer and mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music in New Windsor, NY.
