Widely respected in Argentina as a progressive rap pioneer and visionary of the genre, Apolo Novax was once part of the legendary crew La Organización, which led the new school takeover at the end of the nineties. La Organización remains a cult classic in the Argentine underground, even though they never managed to release an official album. Apolo Novax's next project, however, left an indelible mark in Argentine hip-hop and managed to crossover beyond the scene and their country. It was Koxmoz an ambitious project where he shared the mic with Chili Parker and Tigre Blanko (now Sexto Zen) over futuristic beats provided by DJ Kox-T (Art Koxmiko Tortuga) legendary pioneer in Argentine hip-hop in his own right), In 2006 Apolo Novax (along with Chili Parker) had his taste of international fame with the massive hit 'Mi Confesión' included in Gotan Project's second album, 'Lunático'. After the success of Koxmoz's only album 'Tarde o Temprano?', Apolo Novax took a step back from the spotlight to focus on the next move: his long-awaited solo debut. 'Bitacoras Del Vortex, Vol. 1 & Bitacoras Del Vortex, Vol. 2' is a double album full of intricate rhyming, with complex concepts that defy all genre's cliches. It's a real magnum opus of a true wordsmith that spent years honing his skills in solitude and in 2021 comes to reclaim his much-deserved status of legendary MC in the Latin American hip-hop arena.
