    Formed in 2007, Canadian indie rockers Hooded Fang feature vocalist/guitarist Dan Lee, vocalist/bassist April Aliermo, guitarist Lane Halley and drummer D. Alex Meeks. The band burst onto the scene in 2008 with their debut EP, which pitted jarring, angular guitar rock against a surf-tinged Wall of Sound that drew comparisons to bands like Thee Oh Sees, Black Lips, and Broken Social Scene. Album, their first long-player, arrived in 2010. Tosta Mista, the group's sophomore outing and their first for U.K. label spotify:search:label%3A%22Full+Time+Hobby%22 , arrived in 2012, followed quickly by Gravez in 2013. For 2016's Venus on Edge, the band explored gentrification in their Toronto home base via dark, post-punk songs. Hooded Fang's horizons expanded further with the following year's Dynasty House EP, which featured percussionist Jon Pappo on songs inspired by Lee and Aliermo's immigrant heritage.~ James Christopher Monger
