Биография

Chris "Optiks" Jones is a Brooklyn-based producer and engineer who has made a name for himself through his conceptual production and partnership with equally strong and unique artists. He began producing music for friends in high school in Cincinnati, OH, before leaving for Kent State University and producing for fellow classmate Blitz the Ambassador. Optiks' production for Blitz supported his debut album "Stereotype" ranking as a Top 10 record on iTunes Hip Hop charts in 2009. Optiks' thunderous production has since led to features by artists including Talib Kweli, Styles P, Rittz, Freeway, Tech N9ne, Joey Cool, Heltah Skeltah, Homeboy Sandman, and Aesop Rock amongst others.   Today Optiks continues to produce and has most recently paired with New York rapper, Mean Joe Scheme on "You'll Be Fine One Day" as well as producing a string of singles for Kap Kallous and Psalm One plus his own projects.
