Darío Barozzi is an artist who defies categorisation, his music existing happily at the intersection between the classical and the popular, moving seamlessly between art music, tango, folk and free improvisation. At the forefront of the newest generation of Argentine guitarists, Barozzi’s interpretations and original compositions combine fresh contemporaneity with a profoun, native knowledge of Argentine musical traditions and a compelling brand of refined swing. Darío Barozzi is graduated and teacher of the U.N.A (Universidad Nacional de las Artes) of Buenos Aires, with solid academic training and great experience in the field of popular Argentine music. He has edited several albums, composed music for film, theater and television and He participated in concerts and/or recordings with relevant musicians of different genres. With projects and groups of tango and Argentine folklore, and also as soloist, he toured important cities in Argentina, England, Germany, France, Austria, Holland, Switzerland.
