Prime Status is an American-based rapper, singer, songwriter. Even though he is an independent artist, his skills places him in position amongst some of the most versatile artists in the league. His rap style is often described as fierce, combative and lyrical as seen his previous album release titled "RAGE". He develops his style from both old school and new age contemporary hip hop and afro-pop and draws most of his inspiration from artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J-Cole, Big Sean, Jay-Z and Future. In his most recent album release titled "The Evil Within", Prime Status mixes unique flows from Hip Hop and Dancehall to portray an interesting tug-of-war between the forces of dark and light (the Ying and Yang)--both of which are personified as entities seeking control.
