A charismatic and engaging performer, CALVIN GOLDSPINK is the epitome of a “Cinderella Story.” A native of England, Calvin was part of the successful Simon Fuller/Universal Records franchise S Club, selling 3 million records and a tv series under his belt by 15. At age 17, he starred in the CW series, Life Is Wild and had roles in Lifetimes, William & Kate and FOX's X-Men Origins. His 2014 debut EP, The Lemon Tree, was a passion project he wrote over the course of 4 years, while he matured into a man in Hollywood, leaving behind his British childhood. He found the experience of an independent release both exhilarating and frustrating and so created a music company, A Mighty Lamb Production to support emerging artists from around the world. His Breaking Sound platform has expanded into 10 cities and has seen the likes of Lauv, Sam Fischer and the Marias come through his door. The company has grown rapidly with a full staff and added a radio station, Breaking Sound Radio and record label, Breaking Sound Records, in the last 6 months. Injecting a DIY ethic back into mainstream pop music, Calvin weaves a unique perspective into his all-encompassing songwriting. His music draws from a rich tapestry of influences, simultaneously attaching tender strokes of indie and surging with powerful electronica. Written during a tumultuous period living in Los Angeles, ‘The Cold’ looks for answers buried in uncertainty and reinstates hope of finding out where you belong in the world.
