Cut to 2019. Ranking Junior calls Preston to tell him the sad news that his dad has been diagnosed with cancer. By the end of the conversation, Ranking Junior made plans to travel to London to Preston's studio to make music together. Spurred on by his dad's encouragement, Junior carried on making trips to London until March 26th, 2019 when tragically his dad passed away from his illness at the young age of 56. The next time the pair met, they penned the song Legacy in tribute to Ranking Roger and the impact that he made on both their lives and the history of British music. As soon as Ranking Junior joined the Ordinary Boys in the studio to record Legacy and its ska B-side Jump and Skank it was clear that the magic that had been there when they first performed in Tokyo was always there waiting for its next release. This new alliance between Ranking Junior and the Ordinary Boys is the culmination of it.
