Биография
A hard-hitting modern rock quartet based out of Detroit, Michigan, Citizen Zero employ an engaging mix of honest, homespun rock & roll and arena-ready alternative rock/post-grunge that's drawn comparisons to Stone Temple Pilots, Theory of a Deadman, and Kings of Leon. Following years of touring and an untimely tragedy, the quartet issued their debut, State of Mind, in 2016. Founded in Rochester Hills in 2010 by siblings Greg (bass), John (drums), and Matt Dudley (guitar) and vocalist Josh Mayle, the band quickly caught the ear of recording engineer Al Sutton (Kid Rock, Detroit Cobras, Uncle Kracker), who whisked them into his Rustbelt Studios and recorded their eponymous 2011 debut EP. Tragedy struck the following year with the death of eldest sibling Matt Dudley, putting the group at a pivotal crossroads. Deciding to forge on, the band brought virtuosic guitarist Sammy Boller into the fold and headed back to the studio to finish up their sophomore EP, 2012's Life Explodes. High-profile gigs alongside Kid Rock, ZZ Top, Halestorm, Royal Blood, and Highly Suspect followed, and the next year, Citizen Zero nabbed a Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Rock/Pop Recording. In 2015, Greg Dudley parted ways with the group; his slot was filled by bassist Sam Collins. In 2016, the quartet inked a deal with Wind-Up Records and issued their much-anticipated debut studio long player, State of Mind. The set featured the singles "Go (Let Me Save You)" and "Lure and Persuade," which both landed in the U.S. Mainstream Rock Top 40. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
