Howling Bells are notable for their country noir music style, they have been labelled as melodic blues and country-goth. They are influenced by The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, and they are often compared to Mazzy Star and The Velvet Underground. In 2022 they embarked on a UK tour playing their acclaimed 2006 Bella Union eponymously titled debut album in full, to glowing reviews.
