John Finbury is a Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated composer from Andover Massachusetts. “Sorte!!- featuring Brazilian singer-songwriter Thalma de Freitas was nominated for a 2020 Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album. With music by John and lyrics and vocals by Thalma, produced by Emilio D. Miler, featuring Vitor Gonçalves, Chico Pinheiro, Duduka de Fonseca, John Patitucci, Rogerio Boccato and Airto Moreira. In 2016, the song from his first album “Imaginário” - “A Chama Verde,” sung by Marcello Camargo, was nominated for a Latin Grammy for “Song Of The Year.” In 2017, John released his second Brazilian jazz album “Pitanga” featuring Marcella Camargo. John released a Chamber Jazz project of original instrumental music called “American Nocturnes: Final Days Of July” on May 1, 2020. "QUATRO" featuring Mexican jazz singer Magos Herrera, together with the powerhouse trio of Chano Domínguez, John Patitucci, and Antonio Sánchez premiered on May 20, 2020. In 2021 John released 3 singles: "Ring The Bells" an homage to Chick Corea, composed and recorded with Thalma de Freitas; "Look At What A Mess You Made Of Me" with lyrics by Ned Claflin, Patty Brayden and the composer, performed by French Jazz singer Camille Bertault and bassist Christian McBride; and "Boulevard" with lyrics by Camille, recorded with Larry Gouldings on organ and Billy Martin on drums. 2022 will feature a return to Brazilian Jazz with songs recorded in São Paulo. https://www.greenflashmusic.com
