The music scene in Bogor has always been under the radar, unnerved by the hustle and bustle of Jakarta. However, dozens of bands from this city continues to thrive by creating their own music scene. Bogor has many great bands including Reid Voltus, Sex Sux , The Kuda etc. Anoa Records has placed an interest with Texpack since their debut “Courageous” EP (2016), released by Tromagnon Records & Hujan Records on cassette format. Formed in 2014, the group consisted of Afnan (vocals and guitar), Dom (vocals and bass), Fian (guitar), and Iqbal (Drums), recently released a full length album ‘Spin your Wheels’ through Anoa Records. There are 12 songs in this album, including the single Gadog (Feat. Edo Wallad) that came out in early September 2019. Edo Wallad (The Safari) is involved in the making of the album single ‘gadog’. Edo read his poetry ‘Bersin Makan Ketoprak di Gadog’ and also involved Bizen Madturo (Wild Ant) for the beats. Spin Your Wheels album was released on September 2019 and the liner notes, written by Alvi Ifktikhar, frontman of Gascoigne an indie rock band from Jakarta. For Alvi himself, this album is special. Combining the coolness of Pavement sweetness of Teenage Fanclub and the energy of Superchunk creating one strong album. “Spin Your Wheels”. This came from strong songwriting and outstanding guitar works. That is what we feel, and we should celebrate it. A solid indie rock album from the corner of rain city south of jakarta. There is no doubt in it.
