Naarm-based artist miniskirt is innovating at the forefront of alternative electronic music at the ripe age of just 22. Entering the world of production without a formal musical background, he honed his craft over a self-taught five-year journey on Ableton, fuelled by the desire to express himself in a way that was authentic to his experience. 
 Experimenting across a wide range of electronic dance genres from house all the way to his current iteration of self-described “discount hyperpop”, the artist took on a range of aliases before settling on the ethereal, darkwave identity that is miniskirt. 
 Launching into Melbourne’s underground music and nightlife scene in 2021 saw miniskirt take up performances at notable events like MMW x Coalesce and Nocturne Night. Having worked alongside breakout Australian artists Daine, Ninajirachi and Californian artist Wstdyth, he has carved himself into the underground Melbourne scene.
