Charlie Mtn. is Americana alt-folk from singer/songwriter John-Allison "A.W." Weiss. A veteran of the road, Weiss has been DIY touring since 2008 with their indie pop project A.W., sharing the stage with the likes of Lou Reed, Laura Stevenson, The Wonder Years, , and countless others. Charlie Mtn. isn't their first foray into folk, rather a return to writing story songs on an acoustic guitar and traveling the country in their old Jeep. Weiss is trans and nonbinary, often referring to Charlie Mtn. as 'Gender Outlaw Country', but the music is for everyone, with an emphasis on emo kids thirsty for twang and anyone on the lifelong path of self-discovery.
