 Even before his first original record release ‘MRS SIPPY QUEEN’, it has been evident the passion 88YAMI had for music from his early teen years, all you have to do is follow a string of soundcloud demos and collaborations through the past couple years. 
 Born in South Africa, 88YAMI moved to Perth at a young age in search of better opportunities, which in turn gave him an opportunity to turn a passion into a career, which led to his latest single ‘MY CITY’, releasing on July 30th. 
 In the last year, 88YAMI has endeavoured to progress in the music industry by doubling down on his music style, and consistently making his way to your music playlists with records like ‘THE PLAN’, ‘Wasteland’, and ‘MOVEMENT’. He is known to take a melodic approach to rap lyrics/performance with a keen eye for fresh beats bordering on the new school hip hop & trap genres.
