Биография
“A powerhouse performer adding her unique voice and talent to the national discussion of the state of social justice in America.” - The Kennedy Center. Trained as an opera singer and classical pianist, Lilli Lewis has composed and performed in every tradition that inspires her including folk, Americana, soul, jazz, blues and gospel. Lewis lent her voice to the music industry’s need to diversify, while serving as VP & Head of A&R at Louisiana Red Hot Records. The Folk Rock Diva has spearheaded Folk Alliance International’s “Committing to Conversation,” and served on Americana Music Association’s panel on Black equity in Folk/Americana covered by Rolling Stone Magazine. Lewis has released three critically acclaimed albums on Louisiana Red Hot Records: 2018’s solo piano “The Henderson Sessions,” 2019’s "We Belong,” and 2020’s "My American Heart Red + Blue EP.” Mandy Patinkin describes Lewis’ performance of “My American Heart” as “like listening to light,” and The Grateful Web said she "personifies a contemporary Jessye Norman if folk rock had been her genre.” Lewis' eagerly anticipated album “Americana” is slated for 2021.
