Биография
Progressive rock band Glacier was formed by John Youdale, Dave Dawson, Dale Harbron, and Mick King in 1979. The group's first name was Contraband and then it was changed to Glass Ear. The name changed yet again when a telephone booking was misheard and Glacier was the name that showed on the marquee. In 1979, they added Alan Husband to the lineup on keyboards as that year also saw Dave Dawson leave the group and he was replaced by Dave Birdsall. That lineup stayed solid through 1982 and they broke up in 1983. The group had a rebirth in 1985, however, and Bob Mulvey (bass) and Peter Cornforth (keyboards) were newly added members. This lineup did not hold the band for long, and once again Glacier was no more. They re-formed again in 1995, this time with Mulvey, Cornforth, and Youdale at the core. The group enlisted Graeme Ash on drums and Heather Davies as vocalist. In 1998, Cornforth left the group, his replacement coming in the person of Dave Kidson. In 2000 Davies left the group, with Birdsall returning. ~ Gary Hill, Rovi
