Биография
Swedish singer/songwriter/producer Marlene burst onto the pop scene in 2013 with the self-released single "Bon Voyage." Released during the peak of the blog pop frenzy, the song soared to #1 on HypeMachine and landed coverage from Pitchfork to Line of Best Fit. In 2017, she started her own record label and released her Sweet EP featuring the single "All I Want," which became one of the most played songs in Sweden that year. The project found fans from the likes of Harper's Bazaar, V Magazine and Billboard who called her "Sweden's next pop hero." Beyond her artist project, Marlene has established herself a powerhouse pop songwriter with cuts spanning a global array of artists and genres from K-Pop (TAEMIN, Girls Generation) to EDM (Don Diablo, Giorgio Moroder, Benga) to her own backyard of Sweden (Sabina Ddumba, Omar Rudberg, Emil Henrohn). She has recently been working around the globe with writers/producers including Jesse Shatkin, Tobias Karlsson, The Knocks and more. Marlene is also one half of writer/producer duo Pure Shores alongside Ji Nilsson. Together the pair have released last year's EP Nightfall Feelings, which was praised by Billboard as "wondrous in its clean, Scandinavian sad-pop splendor... a pair of pros beckoning towards the dancefloor." In October, the pair was recognized by Sweden's SKAP association with the 2022 Pop songwriter award. Inquiries: charlie@crushmusic.com
