It’s not only her name [pronounced “bell-keys”] which is unique and special, but her music: English and German lyrics, melancholic yet upbeat, dreamy yet self-aware, mystical but sexy. Combining what seems contradictory, BELQIS creates indie-pop songs that make you want to listen over and over. With her distinctive voice and clever lyrics, she captures the essence of life, love and fate in the world we live in. Based in Frankfurt, she mixes urban-beats and bedroom vibes, delicate harmonies and epic orchestral instruments to create a broad indie-pop sound. Her artistic goal is to display the beauty and strength of variety through her music.
