Nax (Xander Stok) has been a recording musician for over twenty years. Lead singer/guitarist, producer and songwriter of The New Shining known for their radio hit Can't Make Up My Mind In the Spring of 2014, after a period of lengthy and thorough deliberation, he decided to take a pause from his band The New Shining. Nax’s debut solo album Heart Fire Home was released in the Spring of 2017. Shortly thereafter he started writing album Elephant for The New Shining (released Oct 25th 2019). Tho his main focus remains on his band The New Shining he will continue to release songs as a solo artist every once in a while. Most songs Nax writes are autobiographical. His music is all about honest, heartfelt, real lyrics. One of the recurring themes is his struggle with depression. Or as he puts it: "My music is dedicated to 'the invisibles’, the people that fight courageously in silence. I'd like to let them know that they are NOT invisible, they are not alone.
