The Sam Morrison Band….Southern Rock from Southern California? Hell Yeh! Although they call California home, the band is actually made up of transplants from all over the country that share a deep love of classic Southern Rock. For over 20 years, they have been delivering music with an unapologetic love of God, country and the American way of life. The SMB pulls Southern Rock out of the 70’s into a time and culture where people need the pride and attitude the music evokes. Being no stranger to the road, they have played alongside many of their influential heroes, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, and Molly Hatchet as they continue to tour all over the US. Their proudest moment came performing for the U.S. troops in Eastern Europe and Korea. The men and women they met on their military tours inspired the songs “I Will Always Stand” and "Peace Keepers" which won the band a Los Angeles Music Award. The new album, “Unfinished Business” is directly aimed at music fans that miss the days when bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, and Molly Hatchet ruled the airwaves. Morrison says, “Musical genres today have all seemed to mesh together into a quasi country/pop/rnb/hiphop mess that many people can’t and won’t relate to. These people have all but given up on new music and resign themselves to the music they grew up on. That leaves a huge population of people whose musical needs are not being met…..We plan to fill that need!”
