Биография
Born in Belfast Ireland Houston sprang you public prominence when a demo he made with a friend for $100 was played on local radio. Public demand pushed the song into the stations A list. With a gig under his belt Houston hand delivered albums to local record stores racking up thousands of sales by word of mouth alive. Before long he was opening for Elvis Costello, Van Morrison abd Chuck Berry and touring Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America. Not bad for a shipyard carpenter. Hailed as one of Britain’s great songwriters by legendary British DJ Bob Harris, Houston achieved national radio play on BBC Radio and evening had a track which he recorded in his bedroom included on a BBC album with Whitney Houston, The Staples Singers and Elvis Presley. Radio play in England led to Houston sharing a stage with Robert Plant and selling out the Grand Opera House in Belfast. From the far north of Canada to the back woods of North Carolina and the cobbled streets of Romania, Houston follows the music where ever it leads him. Embracing many styles from folk to country, gospel blues to Irish traditional. Adopted by a Cree Chief and given a native name by a medicine man in a teepee, to sharing the stage with Christian artists such as Michael W Smith, Chris Tomlin, Third Day and Delirious, Houston is well known for songs like We Don’t Need Religion and Where You See Bones With 30 solo albums to his credit Houston also releases music under the names King Boru and The Presleys.
