Биография
Happy Heartbreak is a Seattle-based alt-rock, emo-pop quintet known for their "happy sounding sad songs." Started in San Diego 2015 by singer-songwriter Craig Suede, the band formed a new Seattle line-up in 2016 and did a DIY West Coast Tour for #FebruaryFeels in 2017, DIY Vietnam mini-tour in 2018, and has an upcoming Hometown Midwest Tour in June 2019. With bouncy rock guitars and passionate storytelling, their music is known for the reflective honesty carried by Craig's voice combined with the floating cello and driving rhythm section. Happy Heartbreak has performed on festival stages like Northwest Folklife Fest in Seattle and Quest Festival in Vietnam; Flight Risk EP was debuted on KEXP's Audioasis in October 2018. Single, "NMS (Hanoi)" was released April 2019 and also debuted on Seattle's KEXP Radio. "If Death Cab for Cutie played Pop Punk music, they would sound like this." RainCityCollective.com/ - Ear to the Sound: “The musicality is technically impressive, but the songs feel very human. The lyrics are melancholy, but the EP is an uplifting sonic experience. Do this as a test: Walk down the street while listening to this EP, and see if it doesn't compel you to smile at a stranger, or feel a little lighter, or take in the world around you with a little more warmth. In summary, Happy Heartbreak reaches a new level of brilliance with a fantastic EP full of songs that could fit into any playlist. Put this music in the soundtrack of your life.”
