Pizza Time is a Denver-based garage punk project formed by California native David Castillo. The band's mix of bubblegum pop, garage, punk, and lo-fi party rock made them a strong fit for West Coast indie empire Burger Records, which signed them in 2013. Castillo, often referred to as David Pizza, sings many of Pizza Time's lyrics in Spanish, as was reflected on their 2013 debut Quiero Mas. A four-song EP and follow-up album, You Wanna Pizza Me?, arrived the following year as the band continued to tour and establish themselves as a staple of the Burger-related indie scene. Released in 2015, their third album, Todo, proved to be Pizza Time's swan song as Castillo decided to retire his David Pizza persona and return to Southern California.
