Take Today is a band from Southern New Jersey with members just across the river in the Philadelphia suburbs. We played our very first show in November 2003. We recorded our first EP (The Fear of Thinking) in 2005 & our second (Somewhere Between Heaven & Hell) in 2007. However, with various line up changes & growing pains since the beginning, Take Today essentially rebooted itself in 2014.. well sorta. In 2014, we entered Gradwell House Recording & recorded "Communiques, Vol. 1" which was the first in many steps forward. We expanded once more in 2019, locking in our core line up. Summer 2021, we recorded & released our newest EP "Communiques, Vol. 2" picking up where we left off. December 2021 saw the release of the “SKAdiving / Up To The Top” single which had the band flirting with the new tone ska punk sound. A re-working of our own song “Skydiving” & a cover of Link 80, all with the help of friends Catbite, Flying Raccoon Suit, Joystick!, Omnigone, & more. 2022 saw the vinyl release of “Communiques” which repacked Volumes 1 & 2 with other previously digital only releases.
