KITUMA is a four-piece melodic death metal act from Oulu founded by Markus Jussila - guitarist & vocalist of the band Mournful Lines in 2020. KITUMA performs genre defying music. Despite the music's foundation being strongly on metal, KITUMA mixes certain contours from various genres, even outside of metal. Lyrics are in Finnish and lyrical themes revolve around depression, death & love (to name a few) not forgetting the northern melancholy overall. Though KITUMA's influences (Stam1na, Mokoma and a lot of other finnish bands) can be heard, the band still has a lot of identifying aspects on its music. A new EP 2023 was released 14.6.2023.
