Arverne is the NYC dream pop/shoegaze project of Queens-native Rickey Gonzalez, who writes and records the group’s music. Many of the songs draw upon the personal experiences of Gonzalez; their sound has often been compared to bands he considers to be influences [Arverne: Influences]. Steadily building a following and playing venues across the five boroughs, his band consists of bassist Brian Collado, guitarist Phil Navarro, and drummer Edgard Cruz.
