Listening to the sounds of Meek Mill, Drake, Lil Wayne, & Kanye West helped formulate a sound for upcoming Philly/Jersey artist Shaquan Mack better known as “The Real Mack”. Growing up around 27th & Tasker in South Philadelphia, Mack’s brother fell victim to the streets & was incarcerated for 3 years. Mack moved to Jersey after his father was released from prison. Moving to East Camden is when he began to take music seriously. 2016 fellow Philadelphia artist PnB Rock joined Mack on his song “Cam Newton” raking up over a half of a million streams. “Cam Newton” is a single off of his project “Hood Jesus” which he is hoping to release soon.
