Steven Adams fronted The Broken Family Band throughout the 2000s, and Singing Adams for the following four years. His first solo release was 2014's House Music, which featured contributions from Dan Mangan, Justin Young (The Vaccines), John Smith, Emily Barker, Inge Thomson and many others. The pared-back, introspective Old Magick followed in 2016, a collaboration with producer Dan Michaelson. Virtue Signals was released in May 2018, with Adams now joined by The French Drops, who include Daniel Fordham and David Stewart, rhythm section from psych-folk oddballs The Drink. Completed just before The Great Lockdown of 2020, Keep It Light was released on Fika Recordings in August 2020.
