Dani Dimitrovska is the leading Macedonian female indie rock performer and has been performing for 20 years. She is regularly the showcase performer at festivals and concerts throughout Macedonia and has performed at other festivals in the region and internationally. She was the first Macedonian artist to chart on MTV Adria (MTV for the Balkan region) with her hit Two Hearts (Srce Dve). Dani was the first and only Macedonian artist to have a song (Crveni Dozdovi) on a regular playlist/rotation on MTV UK radio. She is currently recording her fourth studio album. She serves as the Southeast Europe and Central Asia Youth Peer Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program, raising awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS. She is dedicated to sharing her positivity and passion for music as a way to promote tolerance and diversity and combat the rise of xenophobia, racism, radical nationalism, and other hate crimes. She has been the recipient of the following awards: Best MTV Adria Performer; First Prize OhridFest; Second and Third Prize (twice) at Makfest; Best Performer SkopjeFest; four time winner of the Golden Bird at the country's Zlatna Bubamara awards (one for best album and three for best international achievement); eight times recognized by the UNDP as the best celebrity international ambassador for anti-aids campaigns. She was nominated for Best New Sound of Europe award at the MTV Ema Music Awards in Munich in 2007.
