Since his debut, the self-produced classic ‘Silver Surfer’ in 1998, Solitair has proven to be an introspective mc with thought provoking rhymes and intricate flows, as well as a talented producer and songwriter. In 1999, Solitair first mainstream production credit was on Choclair’s first major label gold album, ‘Ice Cold’, producing and performing on several tracks. 2001 was a breakout year, producing Kardinal Offishall’s ‘Bakardi Slang’, and releasing ‘Easy to slip’, which was nominated for a Juno award for Best Rap recording in 2002. As a producer he has collaborated with many artists from home, (Glenn Lewis ‘Only be in love’, Jully Black’s ‘The Day Before’ feat Baby Cham, both nominated for Juno awards for Best R&B/Soul recording) and abroad. In 2005, he connected with legendary New York radio station Hot 97 DJ Cipha Sounds to produce and write for rising R&B/Pop group Nina Sky. In 2010 Solitair released 'Come true’, featuring Kardinal Offishall, which was also nominated for a Juno award for Best R&B/Soul recording of the year, placing him in the exclusive company of artists nominated for a Juno award in more than one genre. In 2014, along with three fellow producers, Will Deniro, Cortez, and MixedbyMailman, Solitair invested in a recording studio and music school, 4Sound Media and 4Sound Music. He continues to record, mix, mentor, and collaborate with many of music's most talented emerging artists to add more classic songs to his musical legacy.
