Биография
With his sadcore melodies and beautifully dark lyrics, Austin P. McKenzie released his subtle and haunting debut album, "Melancholy" with the mindset of "I just need to show myself that I can do this with the barest of resources-- built a platform and starting point." With that completed and released in the summer of 2019, Austin then sprinted into releasing his sophomore album, "Nightshade" in January of 2020. Rich with emotional yet soothing vocals, songs from the album such as "Sex Drive," "Winter," and "Dark. Black. Heart" offer a glimpse into the mind of someone who embraces the darker corners of life and can translate it into mysterious songs. In his more jazzy moments, his Amy Winehouse and Ella Fitzgerald inspirations come through in his popular song "Crazy Beautiful." His ability to balance soul and subtlety, dark and light, and passion and loss is what will propel him into releasing his third studio album, "Somewhere in Space," a colorful and trippy nod to the pop/folk world of late 1960's Laurel Canyon. Filled with inspiration from Fleetwood Mac, The Mamas and the Papas, and Pink Floyd, "Somewhere in Space" is Austin's most reputable work yet. His 4th studio album, "NOIR FANTASY NO. 4" is expected late 2023.
