Биография
Minted in the 80s, the first song Devereaux stole from the airwaves with a cassette was Hazard by Richard Marx. Julepped in the 90s, the decade found him tirelessly perfecting riffs from Plowed, Tourette's or Beat It, among a myriad, in front of his CD player while also fawning over tasty gems like Runnin', Drop, or Lifesaver that were gleaned from skate videos. Trans Am, Kraftwerk, and Air hijacked his ears in the early 2000s, but he also played guitar in Bolt, The Fastest Steed on Earth, Death Becomes Even The Maiden, and Parlour Tricks during and following the seismic shift of the MySpace Era. Started in 2006, Cacti Pace - EP eventually found a home on Post-Echo in 2011, an entire year and a half after its winter 2009 completion. One might call it a sardonic take on capitalism's ass sucking by way of a Trans Am, Daft Punk, Battles pastiche. Stronger, sexier, fruitier, but still dark, wry, and personal, Pineapple Flex followed in 2014, being compared to "...a sonic retelling of La Femme Nikita, or even better, a badass electronic take on the Spice Girls minus the vocals, but with all of the spunky, flirty sexiness." Kapowski, a 90's Schnapsidee, was released in 2017 as a teaser for another LP; however, trailer park magnitude alcoholism kept Devereaux embarrassingly off his game in the later 10s and into late 2020. 2023 marks a sober return to form with Mel and as part of Full Stop Velvet, Heir Metal, and Leta Facta. The blitz against the clock continues.
