Биография
Northside Houston native OTB Fastlane maintains the city's trademark sound with big anthems fit for both the streets and the strip clubs. Indeed, it was in the latter that the rapper's breakthrough single "Dawg Azz" found an audience. Additionally boosted by social media, the track appeared on his debut full-length, 2018's Metro Mart Baby. Like scene predecessors and early supporters Slim Thug and Paul Wall, Fastlane specializes in muscular bass and 808s. His first single, "Dawg Azz," was an immediate hit in Houston's underground and went viral with an associated social media challenge. The track landed on his 2018 debut effort, Metro Mart Baby, which also included appearances by Chase Money Scrap, J Stead, DJ Chose, and frequent collaborator King Lay. 2019 was a big year for Fastlane as he released a trio of mixtapes -- Don't Miss the Bus, Thank God 4 Tidwell, and Busville -- which were all issued on his label (and namesake), OffTheBlock. That year he also scored another hit with the booming single "My Bussin." In 2020, he released his fourth set, 90 Day Dogg, which featured the introspective "Hope We All Win." He also collaborated with Big Tony for the hypnotic, lean-pushing "Drank Baby." ~ Neil Z. Yeung
