Whale bashers. Tea drinkers. Prehistoric rock party. AWESOMEOSAURUS play noisy alt pop songs loud and have fun. First hatched in 2013 as a punky new wave party rock band around London, UK, AWESOMEOSAURUS evolved in 2021 to become a more studio-based project. Trading off three songwriters and three distinct vocal styles in three minute free-for-all bursts, the more recent addition of keyboards and collaborations has resulted in an increasingly eclectic sound that flirts with early 80s synthpop, while wistful and melancholy-tinged lyrics often find the band equally at home among goth-adjacent acts of the same period. Beating extinction with distinction, ‘All New Adventures’ era AWESOMEOSAURUS continue to release new material regularly, with apparently little interest in adhering to a single musical direction.
