Back Alley Gospel hails from Toronto, Ontario, playing an anthemic, emotional, and rustic strain of punk rock. The group’s upcoming debut EP, Hold Up Your Head, was written over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is a poignant examination of renewal, new beginnings, and the power of starting over. The album's first single "Northbound" explores these themes with layered guitar and nostalgic reflections on escapism.
