Noisy, loud and ballsy. Oh Whale sends you from subtle and intimate moments to rough outbursts. Influences of Radiohead, The National and Sonic Youth give Oh Whale their unique sound. Right when you're starting to feel at ease, surrounded by soothing vocals, you'll find yourself overrun by raging seas of reverb and distortion. With elements of (art)rock, shoegaze, noise and indie pop, the band constantly experiments with distorted sounds and textures. Like whale noises, transformed into catchy songs and rough soundscapes. Oh Whale drags you straight into the waves, only to let you wash ashore in the end, relatively unscathed.
