‘Future local legends’ – Greg Bennick (Trial, Bystander) Hometown Crew is a 5-piece Youth Crew/Hardcore Punk band from Weert, The Netherlands. When formed in November 2014, their youngest member was only 14 years old, they immediately started writing songs with a ‘give-it-your-all’ mentality and played their first show in July 2015. Since then they played shows in Hungary, Scotland, Austria, Wales, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and The Netherlands. The band strives to have a sound that is a combination between bands like Go It Alone, Carry On, Have Heart and Bane. At the end of 2015 they released their self-titled demo and in 2017 they released The Score 7’’ through Positive and Focused records. ‘Hometown Crew are young dudes who just go for it and give everything they got on stage with some really tight sounding youth crew. I look forward to their new stuff and believe that this band can go places if they want to. It makes me proud that there’s a new generation that brings something refreshing to the table’ – Wyb Brouwer (Backfire!) In the last 5 years Hometown Crew has shared the stage with bands such as Madball, Cro-Mags, FREE, Backfire!, Right Direction, No Warning, No Turning Back, Cold World, and many more. Their first full length will be released in April 2020.
