Since launching their debut album Nocturnal Gates in 2019, Freedom of Fear have made a name for themselves in Australia’s metal underground through touring with Fleshgod Apocalypse and supporting other heavyweights of the genre such as Jinjer, Thy Art Is Murder, The Black Dahlia Murder, Revocation, Obituary and Aborted, in addition to appearing at Bigsound festival. With respectful nods to everything from Cradle Of Filth and Morbid Angel to Obscura and Necrophagist, the band harnesses virtuosic ability to rival the excess of the greats of yesteryear, and a classy sensibility that enables them to maintain an acutely modern relevance.
