The Excuse is the Booze is the new single by PRIMA VERA, Norway's most successful musical comedy band, both on stage and records. All their albums reached top 10 in Norway and collectively sold more than one million CD's and LP’s. Prima Vera are an award-winning band who know how to combine good pop songs with a lot of humour. The Excuse is the Booze is their first new song in over 38 years and the first with English lyrics. The song is a hilarious take on coping with alcohol; about drinking, dancing, singing - and never getting enough of it. Quite a lot of the lyrical themes - for example blood samples with a head-on - are real. The song’s mission is to point out how to be absolutely stupid in a world that is already seriously bonkers.
