Based in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles CA, indie-alt dreampop/psych band Blue Velvet Drapes  immerse listeners into a dream world through ambient lush guitars, reminiscent synths, soft reverbed vocals and musical passages full of intensity in color that evoke imagery ranging from hazy pink desert dreams, deep blue outer-space, and a warm encapsulation of falling into the depths of ocean seas. BVD is Jessy Juliet Rodriguez (lead vox) , Luis Rivera (guitars, keys), Pedro “Betty” Mejia (guitars, keys), Raul Rivera (drums) Anna L. Rodriguez (keys, vox), and Timothy Silva (bass). The Hispanic descent sextet projects their hearts on their sleeve in intimate lyrics along with bilingual tales of loss and introspection. Some influences that can be heard throughout their discography include Beach House, Bosnian Rainbows, Japanese Breakfast, The Marias and Tame Impala.
