Sex Cells are an alternative band currently based in Athens, Georgia. After forming in 2022, the group quickly garnered attention for their undeniably compelling live performances. In 2022, Sex Cells released their debut single, Drag a Horse, which reflects the group's unique brand of entertainment. By fusing infectious melodies and unforgettable lyricism with playful antics and a touch of despair, Drag a Horse gives the listener no choice but to finally process the emotions they've been successfully - or unsuccessfully - avoiding. Sex Cells’ formula for success is simple: make excellent music for excellent people. After finding their footing onstage and off, Sex Cells then headed into the studio to begin crafting their debut EP with producer Adam Wayton (Telemarket, The Pink Stones). Released May 5th, 2023, Sex Cells’ first full-band release (titled We’re Probably Going to be Friends So Let’s Get This Over with Already) boldly embodies the strange familiarity fans of their live shows have already fallen in love with.
